Rates and what they cover
How much does a Force Urbania on rent in Bangalore cost per km?
₹38 per km for the 17 seater. Minimum 300 km a day outstation. Tolls, parking and permits at actuals.
Is the driver allowance included in the rate?
No. It is ₹700 to ₹800 a day, billed separately with tolls, parking and any interstate permit. It covers the driver's food and stay, so you are never asked for cash on the road.
What exactly is included in the quoted rate?
Driver, fuel, maintenance, insurance and GPS tracking. Added at actuals: tolls and parking, interstate permit outside Karnataka, night allowance between 10 pm and 6 am, and 5 per cent GST.
What happens if we travel further than the quoted distance?
Extra kilometres are ₹38 to ₹45 each and extra hours are ₹500 each, at the rates printed on your quote. Nothing is re-priced after you book.
Do you give a GST invoice?
Yes, on every booking. Corporate accounts can be billed monthly.
The vehicle
How many people fit in a Force Urbania?
Ten, thirteen or seventeen, plus the driver. The 17 seater has a separate luggage bay behind the last row.
How is it different from a tempo traveller?
Monocoque body instead of a ladder frame, disc brakes at both ends, separate luggage bay. About 40 per cent more per km.
Which size should we book?
Book for luggage, not headcount. Thirteen people with a week of luggage are more comfortable in the 17 seater, because only the long wheelbase has a bay that keeps bags out of the aisle.
Can we see the vehicle before booking?
Yes. Call ahead and come to the Koramangala office. We own the vehicles, so there is something to show you.
Booking, payment and cancellation
How far in advance should I book an Urbania in Bangalore?
Three to five days for outstation. Two weeks in wedding season, or for several vehicles.
How much advance do you take?
20 per cent of the quoted amount holds the vehicle for your dates. The balance is due at the end of the trip, against a GST invoice.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel 48 hours ahead for a full refund. Later than that, the advance is retained. Date changes are free if the vehicle is available.
Drivers and the road
Who will be driving?
A driver on our own roll, not a freelancer hired for the day. You get his name, mobile number and the vehicle registration the day before you travel.
Can we go outside Karnataka?
Yes. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa and Andhra Pradesh are regular runs. The interstate permit is arranged by us and billed at actuals on your invoice.
What if the vehicle breaks down mid trip?
Call the office number, which is answered around the clock. We dispatch a replacement from Bangalore and you are not billed for the time you spent waiting.
